Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective date: 31 July 2026
A 23GRAPHY booking reserves a specific date and time exclusively for you. Once confirmed, we take no other shoot in that slot, so a cancellation close to the date is a loss the Company absorbs in full. The terms below reflect that, and follow the accommodation and wedding-venue schedules in the Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards published by the Korea Fair Trade Commission.
These terms apply where they were disclosed and agreed to before the booking was confirmed. Where no such agreement was obtained, the Standards’ ‘Photo Development and Photography Services’ rule (10% of the total fee) applies instead.
1. Confirming a booking
A booking is confirmed once the date and location are agreed and the deposit is paid. The deposit is 20% of the total fee; the remaining 80% is due after the shoot. Once the balance is received, we deliver your retouched photos.
The deposit forms part of the shooting fee — it is not an additional charge, and nothing is billed beyond the fee quoted to you.
Once the deposit is confirmed, that date and time slot is held for you alone and we take no other enquiries for it.
2. Cancellation by the client
We deduct the following from the amount paid, based on when you tell us, and refund the rest.
| Notice given | Deduction |
|---|---|
| 30+ days before the shoot | None (full refund) |
| 29–15 days before | 10% of the total fee |
| 14–8 days before | 30% of the total fee |
| 7–3 days before | 50% of the total fee |
| 2 days before – day of | 80% of the total fee |
The deduction is taken from the deposit first. If it comes to less than the deposit, we refund the difference; if it comes to more, we may invoice you for the balance.
The one exception: cancelling within 24 hours of booking means the deposit is refunded in full, however close the shoot date is.
If a shoot is stopped partway at the client’s request, we deduct the cost of the portion completed plus 10% of the remaining balance. Where the fee is not broken down by stage, we settle in proportion to the shooting time completed.
3. Cancellation by the Company
If we cannot go ahead for our own reasons, you receive a full refund plus compensation at the same rates as section 2. The penalty is not one-sided.
| Notice given | Full refund + compensation |
|---|---|
| 30+ days before the shoot | None |
| 29–15 days before | 10% of the total fee |
| 14–8 days before | 30% of the total fee |
| 7–3 days before | 50% of the total fee |
| 2 days before – day of | 80% of the total fee |
If a shoot is stopped partway for our reasons, we refund what you paid and deliver the original files shot up to that point.
If the assigned photographer becomes unavailable, we may — with your agreement — assign an equally qualified photographer and proceed as planned. That is not treated as a cancellation.
4. Rescheduling
You may reschedule once free of charge up to 7 days before the shoot. Changes after that are treated as a cancellation and rebooking, and section 2 applies.
Where a shoot cannot go ahead for reasons beyond either party’s control — severe weather, natural disaster, public health orders — we reschedule with no penalty. The new date is agreed within six months of the original.
In that situation the booking is fulfilled by rescheduling, not refunded. Close to the date the photographer’s time, equipment and travel are already committed, so a full refund is not possible. If you choose to cancel rather than reschedule, the deductions in section 2 apply.
For outdoor shoots, both parties decide on the morning of the shoot whether to proceed.
5. Deliverables
- If footage is lost or we cannot deliver usable results through our own fault, we refund all amounts paid and compensate for damages.
- Final retouched files are delivered to the client; any actual material cost of delivery may be borne by the client.
- Copyright remains with the photographer; delivering the files does not transfer it. Clients may use the photos freely for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Originals are retained for one year from the shoot date.
- A change of mind, or a preference that differs from the photographer’s style of shooting or retouching, is not on its own grounds for a refund after the shoot. If the agreed scope was not delivered, we will reshoot or refund.
6. Free and promotional shoots
Free portfolio shoots involve no payment and are therefore not subject to refunds. If we cancel such a shoot, you will be given priority when rescheduling.
7. How to request a refund
Send your request to the address below. Once confirmed, we transfer the refund to your account within 3 business days. Depending on the payment method, the funds may take longer to appear.

8. Disputes
The deductions in section 2 are liquidated damages under Article 398 of the Korean Civil Act. Where our actual loss is less than the scheduled rate, we deduct only the actual loss and refund the rest.
Anything not covered here is governed by the Framework Act on Consumers and the Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards. Disputes that cannot be settled amicably may be referred to the Korea Consumer Agency or the competent Consumer Dispute Mediation Committee.
This document is a general example. Please have it reviewed by a legal professional before launching the service. The Korean version prevails.
